How Radon Enters Your Home
Radon is an invisible, odorless, cancer causing gas that can enter your home from basements, crawlspaces, sumps, pipes, cracks in your foundation, through cracks in your walls, floor drains, concrete expansion joints and saw cuts. Its impossible to detect the presence of radon without professional radon testing.

Testing for Radon
There are several ways to test for radon, from short term (2-10 days) to long term testing (3months-1 year), charcoal canister, Alpha-track and Digital radon detectors.
Short-Term vs Long-Term Radon Testing

Radon Mitigation Systems
The most commonly installed type of radon mitigation system uses active soil depressurization (ASD), formerly called sub-slab depressurization (SSD). This type of radon system works by changing air pressure beneath your home and then, through the use of a specially designed radon fan, drawing out the radon gas and safely venting it outside your home. In some cases the system can be routed through the interior walls of the home, through the garage or through the exterior of your home and mounted along the side of your house. Our radon mitigators will design the right system for your home taking into account the homes design, the underlying soil conditions, and other factors such as price, location and customer preferences.
